Arlington, Texas – November 9, 2021 – Salon Professional Markeysha McKenzie has opened Kdashay Beauty Bar at Salon & Spa Galleria Arlington on South Cooper Street.
Kdashay’s friendly owner has been all about beauty since she was a kid. In her early teens, she learned to do her own hair and found great satisfaction sharing her styling talent with her friends and family. Her interest drew her to take vocational classes in hairstyling in high school.
She worked as a stylist before returning to school at Tennessee’s Academy of Cosmetology in Memphis, TN. She also earned a business degree from Jackson State University in Jackson Mississippi.
“Although I loved being behind the chair, I wanted to expand my experiences in the beauty business and decided that waxing and lashes were the next part of my journey,” said McKenzie.
Her waxing specialties are Brazilian waxing, full body waxing and eyebrow waxing. “I have experimented with different waxes and found a signature hard wax that makes getting waxed more comfortable and less painful for my clients,” said McKenzie.
Her Arlington TX Spa is known for its value pricing. “A lot of the bigger spas charge $50 or $60 for a Brazilian,” said McKenzie. “I charge $30 or $40, I and am running a special for $25 for new clients,” she added.
In her private Arlington spa suite, McKenzie gives her clients her undivided attention. She does not rush through appointments and is an absolute fanatic about cleanliness.
