New Contemporary Building Signs Salon and Spa as Anchor Tenant, 10,000sf of Retail Space Also Available

HALTOM CITY, TX, May 18, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ — Haltom City’s growing north side is welcoming a new contemporary retail space at Denton Highway (US 377) and loop 820, a space that features two large orange and blue outdoor art sculptures. Created by Artist Randy Nix, of RLN Fabricators in Aubrey TX, these outdoor sculptures create an eye-catching facade for the new commercial space owned by Ron Sturgeon Real Estate.

Haltom City Mayor David Averitt said, “The city is excited to have its first
commercial art sculpture as part of the gateway to north Haltom City.” He noted
that the corridor north of Haltom City continues to attract new businesses and attention from builders and developers.

The anchor tenant of the new space is Salon and Spa Galleria.com. Jennifer Knittel, Salon & Spa Galleria’s General Manager, was with the mayor and property owner Ron Sturgeon at the ceremony to unveil the sculptures.

“The Denton location is our seventh in Tarrant County,” she said. “The stylists and cosmetologists who have leased salon space from us love our concept of allowing them to start their own business with 24-7 access.” With rates as low as $75 per week, Knittel indicated that interest in the salon spaces has been high, and the best spaces always get snapped up in the pre-leasing phase.

Wanting to create a space that was bright and contemporary, Sturgeon hired Fort Worth architect Ken Schaumberg to refine his concept and create the elevation for the facade. “We set out to create something far different from the usual tan and brown grocery store center with green hook lights,” said owner and developer Ron Sturgeon. “We wanted retail space that is fun, bright, memorable, and eye-catching,” said Sturgeon. He adds, “The Haltom City Planning staff was great to work with, including Glenna Batchelor and Justin French.”

RDS Real Estate Leasing Manager Jim Eaton said, “We’re seeking tenants to lease spaces between 2,000sf and 10,000sf and are offering exceptional terms.” He indicated that the development is especially seeking to add a great restaurant to the Haltom City space.
