Things to consider before leasing a Keller booth rental

For most of you in the beauty profession, going it alone seems like a no-brainer. After all, the large percentage of you started your careers in beauty salons or spa owned by someone else.  Most likely you have worked at those establishments for commissions, in the range of 40%-50%, and although it was a great way to become established in this industry, you really want to own your own business and make 100% of the profits.  We understand, and we certainly encourage anyone to venture forth into business, but we also want you all to be armed with the necessary information.

There are a couple questions you need to ask yourself before signing a lease for a Keller hair salon or one of our luxury spa booth rental:

  • Do you have start-up cash
  • Are you a self-starter
  • Are you a hard-worker
  • Do you have a safety net

Let’s look at each of these in a bit more detail.

Start-up cash

At Salon & Spa Galleria, we include most of your overhead items in our rental fee, items like utilities and WiFi and web page, and our fees are ridiculously low (starting at $50 per week at select locations), but you still need money to pay for a business license, money for decorating your salon suite, and money for purchasing any product you want to sell in your business. We estimate you will need approximately $500 to get started, perhaps a slight bit more.

Self-Starter

You will have no boss when you go it alone.   You will have no one telling you to show up at work at a specific time.  You will have no one driving you forward. Success depends solely on you, and there are many people who function poorly without a boss.

Hard-worker

Success is directly related to hard work. We firmly believe that.  You need to have a long talk with yourself, and you need a truthful answer to this question: are you willing to work harder than ever before to succeed?

Safety net

Unless you come from a rich family, you will have no financial safety net.  Your personal bills will need to be paid, and the only way that happens is if you are successful with your new business.  Are you willing to take that risk?

If you feel you have the right stuff after answering those questions, we invite you to call us and arrange for a tour of our Salon & Spa Galleria location near you. We would love to add you to our list of successful clients.
