Traditionally, and we are talking over one-hundred years, talented beauticians i.e. hair stylists, nail specialists, microblading pros, they all rented a space (read booth) in a beauty salon owned by someone else.  Not only that, but they then paid a percentage of their earnings to the beauty shop owner.
