This special good cheer pertains to the wonderful turnout that’s already evidenced by the colorful profusion of thoughtful gifts currently surrounding the Foster Care Angel Tree. The tree was erected to carry on a heartfelt tradition and to encourage the spirit of giving, with the participation of hundreds of salon pros who work at the 17 Spa & Salon Galleria’s.
“I’m so proud of the way Salon & Spa Galleria has interacted with the community with this idea,” says salon space leasing agent, Madison Dulany. “There are a lot of things that make it feel like Christmas. But this particular tradition – to set up a Foster Care Angel Tree – and to encourage our salon pros, our customers, and the public at large to bring presents to the tree for foster kids who might otherwise have been overlooked – it just lifts one’s heart.”
That so many tenants at the Galleria’s multiple studio rental salons pitched in like Santa’s proverbial helpers, “that’s no small thing, since it’s a busy time for doing hair, facials, and other beauty treatments, it being the holiday season,” says Madison. “But all the folks working at our salons were more than happy to make time, because giving is the most beautiful feeling there is.”
To make sure some of the older kids can enjoy the tree too, the presents under the tree are unwrapped, so each young person can choose a gift appropriate to their age and interests. What the foster kids all have in common is the joy on their faces.
