Five Things To Look For In A Salon Booth For Rent

Welcome to the hottest trend in the beauty salon industry: renting a salon booth for rent!  And seriously, why wouldn’t a talented beautician consider it?  We are talking keeping 100% of the profits, as your own boss, vs, keeping receiving a commission working for someone else. We are talking about the freedom to make decision for your own business as opposed to taking orders from someone else.

We are talking about financial freedom vs financial servitude.

We are Salon & Spa Galleria, serving the Greater Fort Worth/Tarrant County region with twelve locations, and we are the pros to talk to regarding a Fort Worth booth rental or a Tarrant County booth rental.

Call us at 972-691-7300 for more information or to arrange to tour one of our twelve luxurious, highly-successful salon suite rental locations.

And now, five things to look for in a salon booth for rent:

  • Location
  • Cost
  • Amenities
  • Local management group/reputation
  • Support system

Let’s look at each of these.

Location

Not all salon space for rent is the same, and any discussion of salon suites must begin with location.

Ideally, you will want your salon booth to be in an area of high traffic, not just car traffic but also walk-in traffic.  Locations near shopping malls, locations near major medical office areas, locations along major arterials or just off of freeway off-ramps, these are high-traffic areas where customers will see your place of business.

Stand-alone buildings, distanced from major traffic flows, should be avoided like the plague.

Cost

What is the cost of the salon studio rental?  Not only the weekly or monthly rental cost, but are there other “hidden” costs? Make sure you are fully aware of hidden fees. Make sure the rental contract is clear and that you totally understand your financial responsibilities.

And while we are talking about costs, we caution you against signing long-term leases.  You may find out you made a mistake two months into your six-month salon booth rental.  Those last four months will be misery.  Sign short-term leases if possible, like the rentals found at Salon and Spa Galleria.

Amenities

Obviously, with all salon booth rental, you are getting a salon booth, but what else will be included in the rental price? The amenities you receive can be more valuable than the actual booth.  Is the WiFi free? Do you get a web page included?  How about laundry facilities? How about security? Do you have 24/7 access to your booth?  Utilities?  And what about marketing?  These things cost money, money you may not have, so look for a booth rental opportunity which includes these things in your rental cost.

Local management group/reputation

Go local if at all possible.  Local means easy access to the managing team.  Local means dollars spent staying in the local economy.  Local means building a working relationship with other local business people in your community.  Local is good!

Support System

You rent a salon booth from a rental company.  Are you then on your own, or does that rental company stay with you, work with you, to help you find success?

The good rental companies work with their clients because if their clients are successful, the rental company is successful.
